Emotional wellbeing
I am feeling down do you provide immediate input?
No. We do not offer an urgent response or crisis service. If you are feeling low in mood or are experiencing suicidal thoughts we advise that you:
- Speak to your GP, Healthcare Professional or call 111 to ensure that your immediate needs are met.
- Consider contacting the Samaritans, in the UK the number is 116 123
- Outside of the UK please contact Suicide Prevention Services.

Solicitors/ Case managers
If a client attended one of The Brain Place workshops what feedback will their Case Manager receive?
We will ensure that a single page summary of our workshop is communicated to the Case Manager, alongside any other information that is desired at an individual hourly rate, provided the person has consented to the sharing of information. Get in touch for more information.

Who are workshops for?
Our workshops are designed and delivered to people who have experienced a brain injury, the people supporting them and the professionals working alongside them.
How do I sign up to a workshop?
Please contact us to book on to our workshops or journey. We can then invoice you directly.
When do the workshops run?
Dates for scheduled workshops are listed with the workshop information. If no date is listed please contact us and we will register your interest. As soon as we have enough interest for a workshop we will contact you to confirm the date.
How much do the workshops cost?
Our workshops are priced individually, or as a 12-month journey. We also offer bespoke workshops. Please contact us for our prices

If you are self-funding our workshops or education sessions please contact us to discuss costs.

Who delivers the workshops?
All workshops are delivered jointly by Dr. Amanda Mobley and Dr. Kim Fletcher.
Can I bring my carer/ personal assistant to a workshop?
If you need to bring someone along to the workshop with you to provide support with personal care, please contact us to discuss this.
Can I bring my assistance dog to a workshop?

Maybe. The Brain Place is led by Clinical Neuropsychology specialists and in our opinion the information stays close to our specialist topics. Please contact us to find out if we can help you.
Who else will be in the workshops?
To facilitate the feeling of comfort in the group we accept a minimum of two people and a maximum of eight people per client workshop. Our professional workshops will run with a minimum of five people.
Who will know I am attending a workshop?
If you book on yourself then only you, and the other group members will know you have attended. We will use the email address you provided for any correspondence. If you want us to use a different method of communication please tell us at the time of contact.
Where are your workshops held?
The Brain Place workshops are usually held at The Nottingham Playhouse, which is located in Nottingham City Centre
If you would like a workshop to be delivered in an alternative location please get in touch and we will register your interest. Alternatively, you could consider a bespoke workshop.
